Updating gracenote with winamp
Is there any way to update the Gracenote database on Comand?? Please update your location in your profile as it helps the members answer any questions you might have based on locale. Also, please use the 'search this forum' feature for your questions as they have probably been asked before. It provides software and metadata to businesses that enable their customers to manage and search digital media.Its a real pain not to have any of my new albums recognised. In addition, please post your questions in the appropriate discussion forum for a quicker response. I don't think COMAND is using the Gracenote database system actually, i thought it read the information directly off the CDs that have it(which it very rarely actually has). It reads gracenote data but does not communicate with the internet/database. So I wouldn't blame Gracenote so much as the version they put in the car.It's probably a smaller version of the database to save space.It became impossible to submit a song for tags and that even for those who were already checked and filled some weeks ago. As I have a few Pc's, I tried the same on all the others but each gives me the same reply.I'm also using "Music Brainz Picard" and there I get positive results. On one machine, I used regsvr32 to register the "dll" files but to no avail.

But then it would be nice if I could play Internet radio in the car too. I get all the CDDB titles off the net that way, then burn the tracks to DVD. With the MM 6 disc changer, I can fit my entire collection and not have to switch out discs.
Ya I do the rip thing also, but sometimes that compromises sound and it's sort of annoying having to constantly back up discs to CD-R.
